30 days and 2 Challenges

This week I went to the doctor and on the way there I listened to a podcast episode from The Science of Success where a guy I’ve never heard of named Alex Banayan challenged the listeners to journal their lives for 30 days.

Challenge 1: Journalling

I listened to the podcast on Wednesday so I am a bit delayed, but I liked the challenge because according to him at the end of it you will find what truly makes you happy and what you should try to do in your life, rather than running after money working on a 9 to 5 job.

Alex did not only say to journal whatever you want. He was very specific and he gave the audience three questions you should answer every night.

Question 1:

What filled me with enthusiasm today?

Question 2:

What drained me of energy today?

Question 3:

What did I learn about myself today?

As you can see the questions are not hard neither are they rocked science and I bet you might have thought about that at least once in your life.

But have you ever stopped and answered those questions to yourself truly? I haven’t but I have questioned myself many times.

I think it is an easy challenge to follow, but let’s see how it goes. I am still debating whether I should write it or whether I should make a video. Let’s see what I do in the end.

Challenge 2: Run 3 Days a week

This one might seem easy to do, but in our world of constant busyness committing to go for a run every two days is not an easy job.

In the past, more like 10 years ago I used to run 5 out of 7 days a week. Whilst my body can sustain this in week 1 I do not think week 2 and 3 will be possible, because my knees and muscles will feel it.

Instead the plan is to run different distances at different paces Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. I think I will record myself after every run and describe how I feel.

Bonus challenge?

Yes, the next 30 days will be packed with challenges, perhaps it is too much to add one more challenge but I will give it a go.

The challenge is to cut on sugar, alcohol and processed food for 30 days starting tomorrow Monday 27th of January 2020.
